I have a Plugable USB device for all my peripherals and it connected and functioned without problem. I like the AC511s because they look good, sound good, and (most importantly) mount to my monitors and take up no desk space. I have two AC511s, one on a Dell U2415 and another on a Dell U2515H, neither of which has built-in speakers.
